Railroad Heritage Day is set for Saturday, September 9 at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Some highlights of this family-friendly event include a:
- “Down By The Station” tour at 11:00 a.m., presented by Museum director Patrick C. Morrison.
- “Pennsylvania Railroad Board Rooms” presentation at 1:30 p.m., offered by Museum volunteer/program coordinator Elizabeth Myers.
- “The Solari Board” spotlight talk at 3:00 p.m., presented by Museum educator Jesse Shetrom.
- Marklin/LEGO® train display.
- Coloring table for kids.
A number of the Museum’s historic locomotives and railroad cars also will be open for visitors to experience. Railroad Heritage Day activities are included in the regular Museum admission.
